WHEN & WHY DID YOU JOIN BEC?
I joined BEC in June of 2024. I was so impressed the phrase “Value Add” was constantly used and it was nice to see a CFO based Accounting firm use it. You can do anything, not everything, so do what you can very well.  

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN YOUR CAREER?
It’s my husband’s fault. When we met, he owned a real estate company, and we couldn’t find a bookkeeper who could trust. Then I realized I enjoyed Accounting and not owning a business. As a 4th generation accountant, this only made sense. So, I changed my whole career and applied myself to Accounting opportunities and pursuing my CPA license. 

WHAT ARE YOUR AREAS OF EXPERTISE/PASSIONS?
My passion is the small business space. Living in the Atlanta metro area, with a real estate background; the majority of my work has been in Real Estate and Construction Accounting. 

FUN FACT
I LOVE UGA football. I grew up watching and learning about football because my Dad played college football and was drafted to play professional football – but made more money in the Air Force. 

My family also loves to travel – which may be my fault. I love to see new places. Our goal in a few years is the boat on the Great Loop – a 6,000 mile journey that circles the Eastern part of the US starting with the Mississippi River. 

FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR JOB
I LOVE problem solving. There is no greater feeling when everything comes together, and you have a beautiful Financial Statement package.
